What knowledge of formwork design is required for architectural templates?

Designing construction formwork requires a great deal of specialized knowledge—such as expertise related to formwork design itself. So today, let’s take a closer look at the theoretical principles involved in this process, together with our construction formwork manufacturer.

Designing construction formwork requires a great deal of specialized knowledge—such as expertise related to formwork design itself. So today, let’s take a closer look at the theoretical principles involved in this process, together with our construction formwork manufacturer.

  1. General layout template

Before installing the frame columns, it is necessary to first mark out the axis lines and edge lines. Before installing the continuous formwork, you must first secure the two end columns and then stretch a string line between the various formwork panels. The side panels should be made of multi-layer plywood, and the formwork for the bottom of beams should consist of multi-layer plywood combined with wooden battens. Moreover, all gaps must be sealed tightly—there should be absolutely no gaps whatsoever.

  2. Platform Racking

When erecting the platform scaffolding, it’s also essential to implement a fixed set of measures. Based on specific requirements, use chalk lines to mark out horizontal and vertical control lines, ensuring uniform width throughout. Before use, thoroughly inspect the formwork and other components; only proceed with use once they have been confirmed as compliant.
